Thank You very much for leaving me my first comment on the site! I have just started adding content to the site so there is still a lot more to come. Eventualy there will be everything you need to know about owning a Classic Fiat 500 on this website.
I just bought a 500 heading to the scrap yard because the guy didn’t know what he had and didn’t care. I need to find the year of the car and the range of chassis number in that year to apply to an abandoned title but can’t seem to find the info anywhere. Where would you start?
Hi Jason, Does the car have a vin# in the front compartment?
Miller, this is such a great post. As a proud recent ‘67 500F owner this is great. I’ve just printed this and can’t wait to get home to diset the ID plate, I was aware of the VIN/Chassis number but didn’t realize paint, part and engine no# were on there..will see if things are still original (particularly engine).
Thank you Michael, Glad it helps you out . If you get a chance would please write something in my forum page about your car, i need help to get it started & send me some pictures and i’ll post them here in the photo gallery.
I have a 500N , built around 1959, Right hand drive, with the Half sunroof and “Normale” trim. It does not have a paint code “field” on the data plate. The original colour was a sort of Ivory, which I do not like. Looking at the original ads, I fancy the pastel blue shade. I do need to know the paint code number to have the body shop mix up the correct shade. Can anyone help with the Fiat code and any corresponding paint manufacturers code?
I bought two Fiats 500 and I need to know of what year they are.

I have a bulb light with pos and neg cables for testing; just dont know where to attach it and don’t know which spark plug chamber to check to see whether the piston is in the high position before adjusting the distributor. Any help, I would appreciate it greatly!
